Polar are proud to have worked with Wharton Construction on the new £2.5M headquarters for MB DIY.

MB DIY’s facility was officially opened on South Bank Road, near Cargo Fleet Lane by Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen and the 30,000sq ft warehouse is a vital part of the regeneration of east Middlesbrough. 

Managing Director of MB DIY, Mike Greenup said: “We are really pleased with our new showroom and its facilities. We are looking forward to developing the business further, both geographically and with our product range. We are also hoping to expand our team now that we have a larger premises.”

A key objective was to make best use of the location and ensure that the building would stand out, and therefore architectural details focusing on great aesthetics were incorporated. Polar installed Kawneer UK AA100 Curtain Wall screens to allow high levels of natural light into the showroom space, which also incorporated an automatic double door & automatic sliding door.
