Following a multimillion-pound refurbishment, Stockton Globe will bring the world’s biggest names in music and comedy to the North East once again.

A major restoration project funded by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund has seen this beautiful art deco building transformed into a 3,000 capacity internationally-renowned venue fit for the 21st Century. In addition to transforming this much-loved theatre, the neighbouring building located at 153 High Street, a former bridal wear shop, has now become box office and café bar facilities for the Globe. It will also operate as a standalone venue with a small performance area with a smaller 250 capacity.

Situated in the heart of Stockton High Street, Stockton Globe originally opened its doors in 1935. During its life as an entertainment venue it has played host to many international names from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Sadler’s Wells Ballet and the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company.

Polar are pleased to have worked alongside Willmott Dixon, Sansome Hall Architects & Stockton Council where we completed the Design, Manufacture, Delivery and Installation of Curtain Walling, Commercial Doors, Tilt & Turn Windows, Vertical Sliding Linked Sash Windows & Commercial Doors.
