Belfast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Centre

The new Belfast Acute Mental Health Inpatient Facility provides a total 80 ensuite bedrooms (74 acute mental health ensuite bedrooms and 6 psychiatric intensive care beds) which are in 5 separate interconnecting buildings arranged around a cloistered central courtyard, communal areas and administration areas. All aspects of the design were carefully considered, including the colours, natural light, materials, furniture and fittings – to ensure that the surrounding environment helps to improve the overall service user experience.
