Polar has been appointed by IHP (Integrated Health Projects), an established joint venture between VINCI Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine, to complete the design & installation of our Humber Two Healthcare Window, Trent Fixed Healthcare Window, Medway Seclusion Healthcare Window, Hamble Secure Healthcare Door & Curtain Walling.
The new development will create two new acute inpatient wards at the Peter Hodgkinson Centre in Lincoln is part of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s focus to provide ensuite accommodation for all of their service users.
The two new wards named Ellis (male) and Castle (female ward) will replace the Conolly and Charlesworth wards at our existing premises on the Lincoln County Hospital site & will provide separate ensuite accommodation for service users, There will be ground floor access to a courtyard area for peace and quiet with an outdoor environment which offers major benefits to support service users recovery.
The design of the new wards has been shaped using feedback from patients, carers and staff as part of the trust’s ‘Building Together’ programme. Building works are well underway and are due to be completed by March 2023.
