Bedroom Evolved

At this year’s Design in Mental Health event, we were thrilled to be a part of the ground-breaking collaboration called ‘Bedroom Evolved’.

At this year’s Design in Mental Health event, we were thrilled to be a part of the ground-breaking collaboration called ‘Bedroom Evolved.’ Working alongside Medical ArchitectureDarwin Group, Safehinge Primera and Tough Furniture, we used our individual expertise to support creating a state-of-the-art patient bedroom that redefined mental health environments through innovative modular building methods.

The centrepiece of this collaboration was a magnificent full-sized bedroom, proudly displayed for the first time at the Design In Mental Health Exhibition 23. As visitors stepped inside, they were immersed in an experience that showcased the forefront of design and functionality in a Mental Healthcare space. We are proud to have contributed our expertise to the Bedroom Evolved project, integrating our specialist Humber Two™ and Trent Fixed windows into the overall concept.

Our windows, serve a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients and staff within the bedroom by allowing high levels of natural light and airflow into the space. Not only this, our Humber Two™ seamlessly integrated with the LifeLine Key after some developments directly with Safehinge Primera team. The LifeLine Key operated the anti-barricade mechanism, windows, and storage systems within the bedroom, emphasizing our commitment to simplifying usage for staff while prioritizing patient safety.

At the Design In Mental Health 23 Awards, Collaboration In Action – Modular Bedroom with One-key for Staff was also highly commended and is a testament to the collaborative effort in creating patient-centric solutions.

Being part of the ‘Bedroom Evolved’ collaboration has allowed Polar Windows to contribute to the transformation of Mental Healthcare environments. Our specialist window systems, combined with the expertise of our partners, have helped to demonstrate how collaboration can have a profoundly positive impact for those within Mental Healthcare spaces. We are proud to have played a role in pushing boundaries with innovation in Mental Healthcare spaces and will continue to innovate and support patient-centric design solutions in the future.
